The North Oaks Social Club (NOSC) was formed in the summer of 2009 after the Newcomers and Graduates groups were combined into one organization. All North Oaks residents are welcome to join. Please feel free to attend an event or two to learn more before joining.

NOSC organizes many events all year for couples, newcomers to the community, women, men and families. Some examples:

  • Food & Friends — A monthly catered night out for women that typically takes place at a local host home. Occasionally we can be found at a restaurant or trying something new, like a spa night.
  • Newcomer's New Member Social — Typically twice a year (Fall and Spring). An event designed specifically for Newcomers (generally in the community or the NOSC for 2 years or less). An evening of great food, drinks and socializing at a local host home.
  • Member/Board Meetings — Monthly meeting, typically held in a local host home. Members gather to discuss upcoming events and planning. Please join us and find out how you can get involved!
  • Spring Couples Party — An annual tradition and our biggest event of the year. Typically catered and held at a local host home.
  • Fall Couples Party — Typically an outing such as bowling, Oktoberfest, billiards etc.
  • Halloween Party — An outdoor family event for all ages held around Halloween. Past fun has included games, crafts, goodies, family photo opportunities and hayrides.
  • Other Family Events — The annual Back to School Picnic is a tradition at the beach in late August. Other events vary from year to year, based on the creativity of our volunteers!

Social Club

We depend entirely on member volunteers to plan and organize events. Please consider volunteering this year! There is something for everyone — from small, one-time opportunities to host homes to serving on a committee. It's a great way to get to know your neighbors and fellow residents.
