The City Council is responsible for setting City policy through ordinances and resolutions. The Council also has sole responsibility for adopting the City’s budget. The Council legislates by passing Ordinances which are the City regulations for residents within North Oaks jurisdiction.
The local government in North Oaks is composed of a Mayor who serves a two-year term and four Council members who serve staggered four-year terms.
The City Council meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Meeting Room, 100 Village Center Drive*, Suite 150, North Oaks, MN 55127.
*Please Note: Due to the existing COVID-19 health pandemic, no more than five (5) members of the public may be in Council Chambers during the meeting. Once room capacity is met, anyone wishing to attend the meeting above the five (5) members of the public who may be present in the room during the meeting will be required to monitor the meeting remotely as noted above. Please note that one (1) of the public spots will be reserved for individuals wanting to make a presentation during the continued public hearing portion of the meeting.
