MN Schools Closed the Remainder of the Academic Year

April 23, 2020 — MN Schools Closed the Remainder of the Academic Year.

Governor Walz announced that distance learning will continue through the rest of the 2019-2020 school calendar year. The state continues to pursue opportunities to expand technology for students, provide guidance for educators on how to best connect with students, and support families.

Minnesota students have been in "distance learning" since mid-March when Governor Walz issued his Stay at Home order. That distance learning was scheduled to remain in effect until May 4, but on Thursday, Governor Walz announced that it will continue through the end of the school year.
